Vouched by travelers as a “true jungle,” the Tembeling will require you to smash through the tricky forest by riding a motorbike with an experienced local driver down to the beach – upon which you will find two pools of fresh spring water. Once arrived you’d find the first pool which is deep enough to dive in; and the second one further towards the beach with views of the ocean. Your effort will be paid back with a beautiful and tranquil surrounding.
Banah Cliff is an amazing vantage point where you will be overwhelmed by the raw beauty of the electric blue sea. If you are lucky you can see Manta Rays swimming from above. The thrill and the quiet scenery will surely make you forget the bumpy roads.
This is one-of-a-kind Balinese Hindu temple where the devotees worship the replica of vintage cars carved from white sandstone, with one of them seemingly taking inspiration from Volkswagen Beetle. The locals claimed to have witnessed many mystical events here and often hear the sound of cars roaring and honking towards the sea at night. A highly spiritual site, one should expect themself to behave with strict norm when entering this temple.
“Kelingking” literally means “Pinkie” in English as if you are destined to make a pinky promise to visit this piece of paradise. Often times it’s referred as T-Rex beach that surprisingly bears uncanny resemblance to the famous Navagio Beach in Greece. For these reasons, many travelers vouch for Kelingking as the best spot in west Nusa Penida.
While it may not offer the same vantage point as the first one, the abundance of photo props around Paluang Cliff and the fact that it’s only minutes of walk away from Kelingking point makes it an equally worthy spot to visit to feed your social media craze.
